How many regions are there in France?
As of January 2016 the government agreed on a reorganization of the country. Mainland France is now divided into 13 administrative regions,
Prior to December 31, 2015 metropolitan France was divided into 22 administrative regions, which in turn were divided into departments.
Each region has its own character, traditions, cuisine and even French dialects.
